Privacy policy

This notice covers the ad-supported edition of Star Fusion Puzzle. It explains local game progress, Google advertising, Apple purchases, and your privacy choices. The advertising section does not apply to earlier editions that do not include advertising services.

Who operates the app?

Star Fusion Puzzle is developed by Matthias Orgler under the TidyMeteor brand, which is not a separate company.

Game progress and preferences

The app stores your high score, discovered elements, whether you have made a first move, and sound, haptic and appearance preferences locally on the device. Current runs and animations are processed on-device. I do not operate a game-account server, receive your board or high-score history, or ask you to register.

Local preferences remain until the app’s data is deleted or replaced. To remove the app’s local data, delete the app rather than offloading it. Apple-controlled device backups may restore earlier local data if you restore a backup. Deleting the app does not delete Apple’s purchase records or information already processed by an advertising provider.

Advertising through Google

The ad-supported edition uses Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform for advertising privacy information and choices. Advertising is requested from a results screen, rather than during active play. When ad-free access is verified, the app stops requesting and displaying advertisements through that flow.

The app requests child-directed, non-personalized treatment for its advertisements and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. Non-personalized advertising still involves processing data; it does not mean “no data collected.”

Google’s SDK can process IP address and approximate location derived from it, technical device or app identifiers permitted by the settings, ad requests, impressions and interactions, and crash or performance diagnostics. The permitted identifiers and other data depend on the restricted-ad settings and the SDK’s behaviour. The app does not send Google your name, email address, game board or a profile of your element discoveries.

Google uses advertising-related data to deliver and measure ads, operate its services, diagnose faults, and prevent fraud or abuse. Its SDK may store identifiers or privacy-choice information on the device. See Google’s iOS SDK data disclosure, how Google processes information from partner apps, and the Google Privacy Policy.

Google and service providers involved in delivering its services can process information internationally, including outside the EU/EEA. Google’s privacy notice explains its responsible entities, transfer safeguards, rights and contact routes. Restricted-ad settings do not remove those disclosure obligations.

Any third party receiving app user data must provide protection at least equal to the protections described in this policy and required by applicable law. I remain responsible for selecting and configuring the services used by the app.

Your advertising privacy choices

Where required by the applicable privacy-message setup, open the game’s settings and select Advertising privacy choices to review or change the available choices. The entry is shown when Google’s privacy system requires it; restricted child-directed treatment can mean that a consent form is not offered.

Where advertising processing or device-storage access legally requires consent, that processing must rely on valid consent rather than on this notice. Consent can be withdrawn through the applicable in-app privacy options. Personalization is disabled by the app’s configuration. Necessary security or fraud-prevention processing can rely on legitimate interests only where the law permits; this does not replace a requirement to obtain consent for other processing.

You can also choose the optional ad-removal purchase. Removing ads stops the app’s advertising flow; it is not a deletion request for data previously handled by Google. To ask about provider-held information, use Google’s linked privacy controls and contact routes, or contact me for help.

Purchases through Apple

Apple handles the optional one-time ad-removal purchase. The app uses StoreKit to check verified purchase entitlements and original app-purchase information so that ad-free access can be granted or restored, including access for previous purchasers. Product and transaction identifiers, original purchase date/build information and entitlement status can be processed for this purpose. I do not receive your payment-card details or Apple Account password.

Purchase and entitlement processing supports the contract for the purchased functionality (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Apple’s own processing is described in App Store & Privacy. Uninstalling does not cancel or erase a completed App Store purchase. Use Restore purchases with the Apple Account used for the purchase if access needs restoring.

Retention and deletion

Local progress is kept on your device until its app data is removed. Google’s advertising and diagnostic retention is governed by its purposes and applicable settings; see Google’s retention explanation. I do not have direct access to Google’s raw advertising records. Apple retains purchase information under its own legal and service obligations. Provider data is not automatically erased by purchasing ad removal or deleting the app.

Other links and device permissions

The element-discovery collection can open external science references from NASA or the Royal Society of Chemistry when you select a source. Those sites handle the resulting visit under their own policies. The app does not request access to photos, contacts, camera, microphone or precise device location. Approximate location inferred by an advertising provider from an IP address is distinct from GPS permission.

Children

The app requests restricted child-directed advertising treatment for its ad requests, rather than personalised advertising. It does not ask players to provide a name, date of birth or email address. A parent or guardian can contact me with questions or requests concerning a child’s information. Please provide only what is needed to handle the enquiry.

Support messages and this website

If you contact me, I process your reply address, any name you supply, message content and attachments to answer the enquiry. Email providers handle message delivery and mailbox operation. General support relies on the legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR); contract-related support may rely on Article 6(1)(b), and mandatory records on Article 6(1)(c).

Correspondence is retained while handling the request and reasonably expected follow-up, then deleted unless a legal retention period or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims requires longer storage. You can request deletion, subject to those obligations.

Opening these web pages is separate from using the native app. Cloudflare Pages request processing, website cookies and email handling are explained in the website privacy policy. Website hosting does not run the native app or store your game board or progress.

Your rights and privacy requests

Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability of your personal data. You may object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in the law.

Contact appsupport@morgler.com for a request involving information I hold, including support correspondence. I do not have access to unsent data on your device. For data held independently by Apple or Google, use the controls and contact routes in their linked privacy notices; I can help identify the appropriate recipient.

You may complain to a data protection authority, particularly in the EU member state where you live, work, or an alleged infringement occurred. The Hessian authority provides a complaint channel.

Changes

The date above will be updated when this notice changes. Material changes to app features or SDK data handling require corresponding changes to this policy and the App Store privacy information.
